Play-write, actor, Songster and multi-talented Cultural Ambassador that beleaguered the Yoruba race with morally rich and educative Stage drama, Cinema and thought provoking music as well. Paramount amongst his numerous message to the Yoruba race was to wear their "Thinking Cap" (Yoruba Ro'nu). Literally, "Yoruba Ro'nu is a clarion call on whichever Yoruba man/woman having attained the maturity age, to channel his/her life into inculcating the uncommon virtue deep thinking. By this call to reasoning, Hubert Ogunde as he was famously known, was invoking the mentality of the average Yoruba man that appears, ordinarily to have been beclouded with irrelevancies, worldly pleasure at the expense of absolute loss of integrity and identity. In his lyrics,Ogunde was very emphatic on Yoruba man's insecurity to one another
