                                  Who's On tHe SpOT?

Odeniyi Nkemakolam Omolola (The NigerianHybrid) Is taking our coffee😚😚....

Onozasi : Your Background

NigerianHybrid : I am Odeniyi Omolola Nkem (The Undisputed, Devout and Optimistic NigerianHybrid).

I'm a graduate of the University of Ibadan. I'm the first of 3 kids by an amazing mother!

NigerianHybrid

Onozasi : Your Source of Inspiration and why?

NigerianHybrid : God, because,He can't be overemphasized in my life and all that matters to me--My Lone time because it helps me reflect, rediscover and refire--

My Mum, because, she's a creator second only to God. She's human who isn't afraid to say where it hurts and reacts accordingly, who still sees the best regardless of whatever it is; who works the best; who also encourages, prays and praises the best and finally lives the rest! 😀(that order inspires me to keep pushing being unapologetically strong, fierce, faith-driven & inspirational in all I do)

Onozasi : Tell us about the project

In simple words, this initiative started on the idea of being a restorer/repairer however you may call it 

but in broader terms; HCI (Hearts Connect Initiative) started out as WHCM (World Hearts Connect Movement) with two important objectives: peace and education.

It began when I was a ‘very very’ (pardon the stress there but it’s necessary ) fresh 2015 batch A Corper in an environmentally rich community in Rivers State with the help of three amazing fellow Corpers who I’m grateful to till date.

But as we all know, the foundation of every good work has it “burning-midnight- candles-moments” and so in other words, before the logo and the name, there was Jesus in the game  who remains my ever present help in time of need-- and let me also add that watching myself grow up, I’ve always known   two things :

“To serve and to be challenged”—

Onozasi : What has been your healing point so far?

NigerianHybrid: When I came in agreement with seeing my emotions as a strength and not a weakness!

Onozasi : Share your challenges and breakthroughs with us

NigerianHybrid : I think the challenge(s) aren’t far from what’s common to/in every organization but in our case, I’d say steady finances especially because we are a self-funded organization for the most part but thecomplementary assistance from friends/loved ones help us a great deal and we totally appreciate them!

SUCCESSES:

Oh my! Too many to mention because our every community work is a success for as we know, when the Lord purposes, He provides .

But if I may; I’d buttress on our June 30 th 2016 peace walk in Alimosho, Lagos—that was a huge success because it helped us bridge a key gap in matters regarding gender; I mean it really helped us reach out to small corners that ordinarily aren’t “felt” and thus closely understanding people’s perspectives on education and culture regarding gender affairs.

 Oh dear! It is
something we would always live to remember as a team!

Onozasi : What's your Favourite Colour

NigerianHybrid : Blue

Onozasi : Give us the 'Spot' word

NigerianHybrid : Take these:“If the enemy is all up in your admirable affair, just know you’re on the right track”!

And secondly, I say this from the bottom of my heart,“Get ready for doubting ‘Thomases’ around you for they will question your fruition especially when project/work intervals seem lengthy but hear me, do not pay them any attention, instead keep working, keep resourcing and always let God be your guide, your truth, your command and all would be amazing history”!

Onozasi: How can people connect with you?

Monday Blues....         Letter to the Man in charge Excuse me sir,  I hope your day is going on well even though mine isn't and the reason? I will certainly share with you. Let me ask you some questions, I don't need to be all care and friendly because this is a serious matter at hand. Do you drive? Does your car run on water or on Fuel? Please I need sincere answers sir!. It's pathetic that I have to stay on an unending queue to get fuel to run my car knowing that we have no special reserves to take us out on monday. Maybe car makers should start making three to four fuel tanks for some cars coming to some countries e.g Nigeria. I am so fed up of the way things are done in this country. They told us that we have Oil and we still suffer for what we have, are you sure those that discovered these things discovered well? I am sick and tired of speculations if we sincerely have, how come we suffer so much to own what we have? Who else is in ...
Events With Onozasie. My waka waka{going out for events}has brought me to another exciting chapter that I will like to share with you. So, welcome aboard as I review another intriguing and interesting event with you. Pastor {Mrs} Bola Akinlabi This happened last saturday, Lagos, Nigeria and it was organised by the Female arm of a giant growing church in Lagos, The Elevation Church . For a lot of persons in Lagos, you will know that, that place is a good source for one to grow spiritually, mentally to enhance and build a confident level of appearance. So, this particular event was tagged ' Made For More' . It was a two-day event but I only attended on Saturday because of work and the distance most importantly. Which means, I am only going to talk about the Saturday event. The Made For More event was a session or let me say, an atmosphere for women both young and old to be charged to understand w...
